The Utility position at SSP America is a full-time role focused on delivering a positive guest experience through cleanliness and maintenance of work areas. This role is essential in ensuring that the dining environment is hygienic and welcoming for all customers.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment, including floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, and storage areas.
• Remove refuse to designated areas.
• Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings, as needed, and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans, wash them by hand or load the dishwasher, and return them to their proper storage place.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards, which may include the use of heavy equipment.
• Assist all guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to server/supervisor.
• Load/unload supply trucks transferring between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items.

Requirements

• Experience in quick service restaurants, coffee or tea shops, or fast casual restaurant concepts is preferred.
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Strong communication skills to assist guests and collaborate with team members.
