The Utilization Coordinator (Homecare) plays a crucial role in ensuring the appropriateness of utilization and the completeness of admission documentation. This position requires effective communication and education of staff regarding utilization and paperwork issues, ensuring that all processes are followed correctly and efficiently. The Utilization Coordinator will be responsible for managing a minimum of 100 Medicare Admissions per month, which requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of home care protocols. The position is hybrid, with the first month requiring in-office orientation at the BayCare Homecare Branch in Dunedin, Florida. After the orientation period, the schedule will shift to a hybrid model, allowing for a combination of home office work and time spent at the Dunedin Branch. This full-time role consists of 40 hours per week, with a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While there is no on-call requirement, occasional weekend work may be necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a Florida RN License and have at least one year of experience in both Case Management and Home Care. Preferred qualifications include a Case Management Certification, which would enhance the candidate's ability to perform effectively in this role.
