About the position

The UX Content Designer at TEKsystems plays a crucial role in shaping the user experience for a cloud-native data and analytics platform. This position involves conducting research and discovery to inform content design decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and advocating for effective content strategies that enhance product usability and customer satisfaction. The designer will be responsible for creating various content deliverables, refining content standards, and integrating them into the design system, all while focusing on user needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to create concept and terminology maps, journey maps, wireframes, and task flows.
• Partner with product managers to understand user needs through engagement and design thinking methods.
• Design conceptual models that simplify complex systems and streamline content in the interface.
• Draft user interface microcontent, including labels, instruction copy, and error messages.
• Lead discussions on content strategy and design, determining the organization and presentation of content.
• Identify content and design opportunities to guide and support customers.
• Advocate for content design by providing strategic insights about customer goals and information architecture.
• Refine content and design standards and integrate them into the design system.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in product content design, UX writing, content strategy, or a related field.
• Strong writing skills and ability to articulate content design rationale.
• Experience in implementing content and design thinking methods and user research principles.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to share content and design recommendations confidently.
• Experience working on SaaS-based initiatives or companies.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
