About the position

The UX Content Designer is responsible for shaping product experiences by creating meaningful content that aids users in completing tasks. This role involves setting the vision for content, managing user experience writing workflows, and ensuring timely deliverables to the design team. The designer will work independently on moderately complex projects and participate in the evolution of user experience messaging strategies, aligning with brand tone and voice guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, edit, test, and improve content for product flows, interface language, emails, push notifications, and educational materials.
  • Develop and manage an effective content strategy throughout the product development process.
  • Create a vision for messaging across products and ensure cohesive narratives across digital touch points.
  • Utilize storytelling skills to enhance user experience in alignment with brand tone and voice.
  • Create and manage content guidelines and best practices for voice, tone, and formatting.
  • Identify opportunities to establish messaging conventions.
  • Audit existing content to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with key partners across various disciplines to enhance content effectiveness.
  • Advocate for content best practices within the UX Design team.
  • Research and analyze messaging problems and propose solutions.
  • Originate new concepts and strategies for user experience messaging.
  • Prioritize multiple projects based on needs and timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of UX Content Design, UX writing, or Content Strategy experience.
  • Advanced project management skills, including leading teams and managing resources.
  • Ability to lead, guide, and mentor others.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and visual.
  • Excellent detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to apply analytical, creative, visual, and critical thinking.
  • Advanced writing and editing skills.
  • Experience with user-centered design processes and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of modern development standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Familiarity with web, mobile, and application design.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and products.
  • Human Factors Institute Certified Analyst.
