About the position

The UX Content Strategist Designer will be responsible for crafting clear and consistent language for products and digital experiences. This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to create user-centered experiences, simplifying complex information into accessible content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the impact of words and visual language in software products and digital experiences, and will work closely with UX designers, researchers, developers, and product managers.

Responsibilities

• Create UX content design solutions that result in successful, engaging, accessible products, voice and digital experiences.
• Align approach, output and potential impact of content design work with business strategies and objectives.
• Use data and metrics to influence decisions and measure progress.
• Collaborate in all design phases with UX designers, researchers, developers, accessibility specialists, and product partners.
• Participate in or lead content design strategy efforts, such as auditing experiences and products for UX content improvement opportunities.
• Evolve voice and tone for disparate and experientially connected experiences.
• Conduct empathy/content/feature mapping and other discovery/sprint planning exercises in partnership with UX design and research.
• Create scalable content templates, patterns, or frameworks.
• Advocate for customers during feature prioritization, planning, and design.
• Provide insights and answers to leadership during reviews.
• Align with writing standards, brand voice and tone, and key messaging documents.
• Support the UX design team.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of UX writing/UX content design work focusing on complex software products or digital experiences.
• 3+ years of experience with Figma and UX Content.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant UX content work.
• Bachelor's degree in writing, marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• High level of attention to detail to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Solid understanding of current design thinking and UX content design best practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the influence of words and visual language in software products.
• Familiarity with working in a geographically distributed team.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into intuitive experiences.
• Experience with tools for analysis and comprehension of language.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Smart Sheets and/or Google Suite.
• UX Content experience with the Telecommunications industry.
• Knowledge of AODA and/or WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA accessibility guidelines for UX content.
