About the position

Amazon Health is seeking a talented UX Designer to join our dynamic Design team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping results-driven work that inspires, motivates, and educates our audience in the healthcare space. Your primary responsibility will be to design user experiences that enhance the way individuals find and engage with healthcare offerings, ultimately helping them to get and stay healthy. You will be involved in every aspect of the design process, from research and strategy to prototyping and testing, ensuring that our solutions are user-centered and effective. As a UX Designer, you will conduct in-depth user research using various methods such as interviews, usability testing, and analytics to gain a deep understanding of user needs and pain points. You will create detailed user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes that align with our brand and mission. Collaboration is key in this role; you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure that your designs meet both business requirements and technical feasibility. You will champion a user-centered design approach throughout the organization, advocating for the needs of users and ensuring that their voices are heard in the design process. Staying up-to-date with the latest UX trends, best practices, and design tools will be essential as you apply innovative solutions to complex design problems. Continuous evaluation and improvement of the overall user experience of our products and services will be part of your responsibilities, utilizing ongoing user feedback and performance analysis to inform your decisions. In this role, you will also be expected to effectively communicate your design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring that everyone involved understands the value of your work. Responsibilities

  • Design user experiences, from research and strategy to prototyping and testing.
  • Conduct in-depth user research through methods like interviews, usability testing, and analytics to deeply understand user needs and pain points.
  • Create detailed user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure designs meet business requirements and technical feasibility.
  • Champion a user-centered design approach throughout the organization and advocate for the needs of users.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends, best practices, and design tools, and apply innovative solutions to complex design problems.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the overall UX of products and services through ongoing user feedback and performance analysis.
  • Effectively communicate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience.
  • Fluent in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
  • Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture, and design.
  • Able to move quickly in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Naturally curious and find inspiration beyond the screen; through the people you talk to, analogous experiences, and beyond.
  • Experience designing services and delivering UX solutions for projects of medium scope and complexity.
  • Confidently present a strong rationale for design decisions and rely on analytics and data (including qualitative data) to shape product decisions and track the effectiveness of change.
  • Solid written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in using Figma and prototyping tools.
