About the position

At Amazon Key, we're re-inventing the way people enter and share access to secured doors, making access as seamless as possible. To achieve this, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and multi-faceted UX thinkers and designers to help drive the operational side of our organization. As a UX designer on the Key team, you'll be a stakeholder in a portfolio of IoT and software products that deliver powerful business impact and customer delight in a B2B market. In this role, you will cultivate a deep understanding of design systems that transform complex operational processes into elegant mobile app experiences for our customers. You will conduct regular usability studies to validate and test new ideas, ensuring that the designs meet user needs and expectations. You will identify and own design problems from discovery to execution, partnering with stakeholders from product management, engineering, and operations to identify customer needs and deliver new features. Your ability to use both quantitative and qualitative feedback will be crucial in measuring and improving your designs. Additionally, you will contribute to and maintain the scalable design systems and patterns that govern our software experiences. A typical day in this role will involve working closely with our global product, engineering, and design teams to optimize the customer journey. You will foster a deep understanding of our customer needs and a robust knowledge of our business problems. Through collaborative design thinking, you will help drive a vision that leads to operational success for the business and delight for our customers. The Key team is one of the most rapidly growing organizations within Amazon, and you will work alongside engineers, product managers, and designers to build innovative solutions that help maximize our momentum for expansion.
