About the position

The UX Designer for Data Platforms at Verily will play a crucial role in defining and designing solutions for the precision health platform and its enterprise product offerings. This position involves collaborating with a diverse team to create user-friendly interfaces and experiences that enhance healthcare and clinical research outcomes. The designer will be responsible for the end-to-end design process, ensuring that complex problems are distilled into simple and effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of user experience for data providers, configurators, and biomedical researchers, including designing interactions and interfaces.
• Collaborate with user researchers, product managers, content strategists, and domain experts to understand needs and identify opportunities.
• Rapidly iterate designs based on feedback and plan design strategy.
• Work with the engineering team to ensure designs are implemented to spec and collaborate on creative solutions for technical challenges.
• Contribute to the UX team culture by participating in design critiques and supporting cross-Verily UX initiatives.
• Evangelize UX through quality of work, communication, and user advocacy.

Requirements

• An outstanding portfolio of thoughtfully designed products demonstrating the end-to-end design process.
• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field with 4+ years of professional UX Design experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Figma and designing accessible, responsive web applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience focusing on Enterprise products, Healthcare, or Medical services.
• Experience designing rich data visualizations and complex professional tools.
• Proven track record in bringing projects to launch into a commercial market.

• Base salary range of $114,000 - $162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
