About the position
The UX Designer for the Guest App will engage in various discovery activities to enhance user experience through competitive analysis, user research, and collaborative ideation. This role involves working closely with the UX Research team and Product Management to define problems and create design solutions that effectively communicate with stakeholders. The designer will be responsible for producing deliverables such as wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes, while also maintaining UX documentation and contributing to UI libraries and design systems.
Responsibilities
- Engage in discovery activities including competitive analysis, user task identification, journey maps, and user research.
- Collaborate on problem definition with Product Management.
- Facilitate collaborative ideation sessions with cross-functional partners and leadership.
- Communicate design rationale to core partners and stakeholders and be open to feedback.
- Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
- Produce deliverables such as wireframes, information architecture, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
- Utilize and contribute to UI libraries and design systems.
- Maintain UX documentation including work tickets, component specs, and research findings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in product design or user experience design, preferably in retail, ecommerce, or omni-channel industries.
- Proven skills in User Centered Design methodologies, creating mock-ups and prototypes, and UI design standards.
- A portfolio demonstrating the end-to-end design process.
- Proficient in Figma and Miro (or equivalent tools).
- Ability to drive results in a collaborative environment.
- Solid presentation skills to share work with clarity and confidence.
- Experience translating qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions.
- Practical understanding of current technologies for responsive web and native mobile apps.
- Ability to balance great design solutions with an iterative, agile approach.
- BA/BS degree in UX/UI design, UCD, HCI, or related field, or equivalent experience.
