About the position

As a User Experience Designer at Sartorius, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the online experience for customers seeking laboratory products and services. This position involves collaborating with a team of digital marketing professionals to optimize the buying journey for website visitors, ensuring that their needs are met effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Translate product and application marketing content into high-performing web pages.
  • Manage and maintain an outstanding user experience throughout campaign web areas.
  • Monitor web performance by gathering analytics data and translate insights into actionable tasks.
  • Own individual web goals and provide creative solutions as needed.
  • Solicit and translate stakeholder feedback into solutions.
  • Creatively troubleshoot website issues by leveraging web tools, colleagues, and incident ticketing system.
  • Design and create new web page templates using UX tools such as research, wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, etc.
  • Clearly communicate design thinking using various forms of data and web best practices.
  • Utilize Asana project management software to track, update, and complete assigned tasks.
  • Work with the Digital Customer Experience team to submit new website feature requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in interaction design, computer science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience building and managing web content using a web content management system (WCMS).
  • Minimum 1 year experience using analytics tools such as GA4 and Hotjar to monitor web performance.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating the use of design principles and best practices such as layout balance, visual hierarchy, and presenting the right information at the right time.
  • Demonstrable experience using UX/UI tools such as sketches, wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups, (bonus for prototyping experience).
  • Basic experience implementing on-page SEO best practices.
  • Demonstrable experience using one or more UX Design applications like Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch or similar.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiar with HTML & CSS.

  • Well versed in communicating with stakeholders from different functions and with varying levels of background knowledge.
  • Comfortable presenting design thinking & rationale to team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
