About the position
The Nature Conservancy is seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to join their Telecommunications clients' UX design team. This role focuses on designing intuitive and engaging user experiences for web applications and digital products, ensuring a user-centric approach throughout the design process. The position is a hybrid contract based in New York, NY or Miami, FL, requiring three days onsite per week, initially for a duration of two months with the potential for extension into 2025.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma
- Design and optimize navigation menus, search boxes, and landing pages
- Develop visual design elements and typography that align with brand guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers and product managers
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Utilize tools like JIRA and Smart Sheets to track progress and manage projects
- Implement conversational design for chatbots and IVR systems
- Ensure consistency in designs across various platforms and devices
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- Proven experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Experience with conversational design and natural language processing
- Knowledge of web applications and enterprise applications
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience using JIRA and Smart Sheets
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
