About the position

This position is for a UX Designer based in either Aurora, CO or Valley Forge, PA, focused on solving challenging problems in user experience. The role involves collaborating with customers and software/AI teams to design user interfaces that enhance user satisfaction with the company's tools. The position welcomes candidates of all experience levels and emphasizes mentorship from experienced researchers and developers.

Responsibilities

  • Working with customers to understand their desires, expectations, and pain points.
  • Collaborating with Software and AI/ML teams to design user interfaces that meet customer expectations.
  • Understanding, evaluating, and recommending new technologies to enhance the software system experience.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI poly.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a UX Designer or in a related role.
  • Proven track record as a UX or UI Designer supporting agile software engineering efforts across the entire lifecycle.
  • Ability to perform in-depth system engineering activities and translate them into actionable software development concepts.
  • Effective cross-organizational communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical requirements with business needs.
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with leadership to influence product direction.
