About the position

As a UX Designer at Nascent Global, you will play a pivotal role in shaping user experiences across various applications. Your primary focus will be on leading user-centered design processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams that include product managers, delivery managers, developers, and other designers. You will be responsible for conducting user research initiatives, employing both generative and evaluative research methods to gather insights that inform design decisions. Your work will encompass a range of activities from user research and strategy to design and usability testing, ensuring that the solutions you create effectively address customer needs. In this role, you will design usable responsive applications tailored for different customer roles and products. This requires a strong understanding of design system standards and the ability to apply them to specialized applications. You will also need to quickly learn about specialized business and logistics domains, analyzing complex workflows that may span multiple departments and user groups, particularly in the context of railroad operations. Your strong communication skills will be essential as you articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders. You will create a variety of research, design, and test artifacts, including sketches, wireframes, visual design comps, high-fidelity prototypes, user flows, journey maps, personas, usability test artifacts, user research scripts, reports, and presentations. Additionally, you will collaborate with a matrixed team of UX designers, providing design critiques and guidance to early career designers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
