About the position

Our client, an industry leader in their space, is looking to hire a UX Designer on a long-term contract basis. This role has the potential to convert to permanent for the right candidate. The UX Designer will be responsible for designing user experiences, user interfaces, and visuals for both native and responsive web platforms. This position requires collaboration with UX designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to ensure that the team is solving the right problem in the right way. The designer will work within the client’s UX/UI Kit and brand style guide to deliver high-quality, polished user interface designs, assets, and specifications. In addition to design responsibilities, the UX Designer will conduct design reviews and confidently communicate decision-making rationale to team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Coordination and partnership with engineering will be essential for handing off designs, providing specifications, and offering QA support through to launch. This role is critical in ensuring that the final product meets user needs and aligns with the overall vision of the project.

Responsibilities

• Design user experiences, user interfaces, and visuals for native and responsive web platforms.
• Collaborate with UX designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to ensure effective problem-solving.
• Work within the client UX/UI Kit and brand style guide to deliver high-quality user interface designs, assets, and specifications.
• Conduct design reviews and communicate decision-making rationale to team members and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineering to hand off designs, provide specifications, and support QA through to launch.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a UX, UI, interaction, or product designer with a focus on user-centered design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative problem-solving with excellent attention to detail, mastery of typography, color, iconography, and spacing.

Nice-to-haves

• Demonstrable experience designing for both web (desktop, mobile) and native (iOS, Android) platforms.
• 3+ years experience producing designs for large-scale, enterprise products in an agile environment.
• Experience with iOS and/or UX/UI guidelines and patterns.
• Expert knowledge working with Figma, Sketch, and Invision.
