About the position

The UX Designer will play a pivotal role in the Experience Design unit, focusing on creating a seamless digital experience during the migration to a new content management system (CMS). This position involves collaboration with various teams to maintain design integrity, enhance user experience, and develop comprehensive design guidelines for digital health applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan and sequence interactions with software or applications over time.
• Utilize research insights to design user experiences that are easy, clear, useful, and pleasing.
• Analyze research findings to deliver Use Cases, User Journeys, User Flow Diagrams, Navigation Structures, and Information Architecture.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to advocate for user needs and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Design for various platforms including browsers, responsive web, native apps, and health monitoring devices.
• Create and deliver Storyboards, Wireframes, Interface Modules, Prototypes, and Design Specifications.
• Evaluate designs according to project-specific and enterprise standard metrics.
• Design to meet WCAG 2.0 AA Accessibility Standards.
• Collaborate with the Experience Design team to maintain and refine the hospital's Digital Design Language.
• Facilitate Design Workshops and synthesize ideas into cohesive Design Proposals.
• Oversee vendors assisting with Experience Design work.
• Collaborate on content migration to ensure design and functionality consistency.
• Identify gaps in existing components and create new design elements as needed.
• Develop design guidelines and best practices for the content migration process.
• Document design-related aspects of the migration for future content authors.
• Review migrated content for design alignment and visual consistency.
• Conduct design QA to address design-related issues.
• Provide ongoing design support throughout the migration process.

Requirements

• 5-7 years' experience in Design with demonstrated impact.
• Proven experience in UI and UX design, ideally within large-scale websites.
• Experience with web content management systems and content migration processes.
• Strong proficiency in Figma.
• Solid understanding of web standards, responsive design, and accessibility best practices.
• Experience creating and documenting design styles, patterns, and components.
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for design consistency across various digital platforms.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with HTML/CSS and basic web development is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a plus.
• Understanding of the Human Centered Design (HCD) process.
• Working knowledge of current User Experience methods.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to design for individuals with serious medical conditions.
• Understanding of the working methods of colleagues in Experience Design.
• Demonstrated use of an iterative design cycle method to refine products.
• Knowledge of design tools and platforms (Adobe CS, Sketch, Figma, Mural, Invision, etc.).
• Experience working in Scrum Agile methodology.

Nice-to-haves
