About the position

We are seeking a talented UX Designer to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This position is a contract role with a duration of 12+ months and offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience design, with a focus on creating intuitive and engaging interfaces for our digital products. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into effective design solutions. Your role will involve conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and performing usability testing to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of usability and accessibility. As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for developing user personas, journey maps, and information architecture that guide the design process. You will also be expected to stay updated on industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance our design processes and outcomes. Your ability to communicate design concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences will be crucial in this role. We are looking for someone who is passionate about user-centered design and is eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research to gather insights and understand user needs.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure design feasibility and implementation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer or similar role in a digital product environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design projects and processes.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
  • Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Understanding of web and mobile design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
