About the position

Trend Micro is seeking a User Experience Designer to create exceptional user experiences for its cybersecurity products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to apply user-centered design methodologies, ensuring that solutions are innovative, intuitive, and maintainable. The designer will be responsible for understanding user needs, driving design discussions, and enhancing the user journey through strategic thinking and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration to solve complex problems and align on business goals.
  • Execute project work by partnering with product management and engineering to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term product goals.
  • Design and model comprehensive user experiences, emphasizing user needs and problem-solving in presentations.
  • Develop clear user flows, detailed specifications, and prototypes to effectively demonstrate the user journey.
  • Expand and maintain UX guidelines for company-wide use by identifying additional use cases beyond single projects.
  • Produce high-quality, research-based creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and inclusive decision-making.
  • Document and communicate designs effectively with stakeholders and development teams.
  • Collaborate with UX design leads and team members to improve processes and standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/product design, preferably in SaaS or platform services.
  • Proficiency with Figma; familiarity with other prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision) is a bonus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Mandarin is a bonus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to solve complex design problems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Capable of delivering product design solutions, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
  • Experience with agile development processes.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field (e.g., UX Design, HCI, Product Design) or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity industry or IT management.
  • Experience with design systems and platform design work.
