About the position

The UX Front End Developer at City National Bank, employed through Magnit Global, is responsible for leading the development of a new Design System MVP. This role focuses on creating a scalable design and technology framework that enhances the digital product experience for various users of the City National Online portal. The position emphasizes collaboration within a team of UX leaders, designers, and engineers, fostering a Design Thinking culture to deliver high-quality digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Design System MVP for City National Bank.
• Architect a scalable system to enhance design quality and product execution.
• Collaborate with UX leaders, product leads, designers, and engineers.
• Utilize creativity and analytical skills to drive product features and experiences.
• Write intuitive documentation for functional code and design processes.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, particularly WCAG 2.1 AA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or arts.
• 5+ years of experience in front-end development for Design Systems.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for UX/presentation layers.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, and Angular.
• Proficiency in CSS pre-processing frameworks like Sass or Less.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Ruby.
• Experience in developing Design Tokens and using Figma for prototypes.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Figma and Figma Plugins.
• Ability to write code that enhances user experience.
• Practical knowledge of version control for UI frameworks.
