About the position

The UX Front End Developer role at INSPYR Solutions is a long-term contract position focused on leading the development of a new Design System MVP. This position is integral to transforming the digital product experience by creating a scalable system that ensures high-quality design and efficient product execution. The role involves collaboration with a diverse team of UX leaders, product leads, designers, and engineers, emphasizing a Design Thinking culture to deliver innovative online experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Design System MVP.
• Architect a scalable system for high-quality design and efficient product execution.
• Collaborate with UX leaders, product leads, designers, and engineers.
• Utilize creativity and analytical skills to enhance product features.
• Write intuitive documentation for functional code and design processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of coding experience in front-end development for scaled Design Systems.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for UX/presentation layers.
• Experience with progressive JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, Angular, etc.).
• Familiarity with CSS pre-processing frameworks (Sass or Less).
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
• Proficient in developing Design Tokens and using Figma for prototypes.
• Advanced knowledge of Figma and its plugins.
• Practical knowledge of version-controlled UI frameworks.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
• Ability to prioritize user experience in coding.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cross-browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of design thinking methodologies.
• Familiarity with agile development practices.
