The Senior Designer - UX will help lead the design and definition as a key contributor to Client's Core UX team, Travel MBT, responsible for integrating human-centered practices in unpacking and improving the digital customer experience across all stages of the travel journey. The Core UX team supports defining Client's digital product strategy and providing the leadership to execute on that strategy with the help of a cross-functional mission-based teams. We're looking for an empathic, passionate curious designer who celebrates delivering high-quality solutions and thrives for innovation in a collaborative environment. In this role, you will visualize ideas using professional design tools as well as sticky notes, sketch boards, whiteboard markers or whatever tools are necessary to rapidly work through ideation and move to the next stage. You will initiate and respond to ideas for innovation/improvements based on research, analysis, and competitive reviews, while identifying user needs and business requirements. Your design approach will be substantiated with analysis and projections for improvements. You will ensure digital customer touch points become and remain consistent with Client's user experience and brand standards. Developing intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions will be a key part of your responsibilities, as well as driving the design of next generation navigation schemes, patterns, components, and templates across the company's products, ensuring a consistent, appealing, and dynamic customer experience. You will create low and high fidelity interactive prototypes adhering to a rapid, iterative, and collaborative process, and work with usability researchers to design test plans and iterate designs throughout user testing, translating usability research findings into design improvements. Your role will also involve creating final design deliverables through appropriately detailed design specifications including process flows, wireframes, storyboards, high and low fidelity mockups, red-lines, and prototypes. You will present design work to the user experience team, product team, and executives for review and feedback, collaborating with cross-functional teams as well as the larger UX team and business partners throughout the design process. Communication with multiple stakeholders to synthesize, review design project progress, and incorporate feedback appropriately with a user-centered focus will be essential. During the implementation phase, you will respond to day-to-day questions from developers, product managers, and project managers, work with QA to identify, document, and verify bug fixes, and provide guidance and mentor junior designers.
