We seek a UX professional with diverse experience to coordinate and drive a wide range of support operations on behalf of our federal client. You will support a team of human-centered designers, researchers, and content strategists collaborating across functions to create products that are useful, intuitive, satisfying, and in compliance with government standards for accessibility and plain language. The ideal candidate will use their broad knowledge in Human-Centered Design (HCD) and excellent project management skills to help UX professionals optimize the quality and efficiency of their work, and to facilitate communication and collaboration on UX tasks across a high-profile product within the General Services Administration. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing DesignOps (UX Ops) tools, programs, and strategies for a mid-size UX team. You will maintain and improve a UX research repository, including plans, findings, and research templates. Documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) for content strategy, UX research, and UX design will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will maintain and improve the content style, voice, and tone guidelines, as well as the UX handbook. Assisting in governance and monitoring compliance will also be part of your duties. You will coordinate design-thinking workshops and host standing meetings as needed for driving UX improvements. Fielding questions for scrum teams, engineers, leadership, and other team members about UX best practices, tools, and systems will be essential, as well as handing off to other UX team members as appropriate. You will also coordinate the foreign language translation and localization process between the internal team and localization vendors. Writing, editing, and publishing UX Ops communications, including bi-weekly updates, Slack announcements, stakeholder emails, and other communications will be part of your role. Finally, you will prepare reports and presentations as needed on UX-related topics for key stakeholders.
