About the position

The Analytics Center of Excellence (ACOE) at IQVIA is dedicated to harnessing global healthcare insights to enhance clinical development and expedite the delivery of new medicines to patients. This innovative team operates at the intersection of big data and advanced analytics, focusing on evidence-driven design to improve site activation and patient recruitment in clinical trials. As a UX Researcher & Designer, you will play a pivotal role in this multi-functional team, which emphasizes entrepreneurial thinking and independent problem-solving to build capabilities that revolutionize the clinical research industry. In this role, you will be involved in every stage of the product lifecycle, collaborating closely with project managers, data scientists, and end users. Your responsibilities will include designing, testing, and measuring early designs, prototypes, and current applications to create and enhance responsive user interfaces. You will be tasked with defining and implementing next-generation application interfaces in the rapidly evolving field of clinical technology. Your work will be driven by user data, business requirements, and product strategies, ensuring that user needs and journeys are at the forefront of design decisions. You will lead UX research projects, applying best practices and modern approaches to tackle complex UX/UI challenges. Building positive relationships with stakeholders will be essential as you illuminate user experiences and identify product opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement the research, design, prototyping, and evaluation of User Experiences driven by user data, business requirements, and product strategies.
  • Define and lead UX research projects, ensuring best practices and modern approaches are applied to challenging UX/UI problems.
  • Identify critical insights and develop compelling communications around UX/UI issues.
  • Build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders to illuminate user experiences and identify product opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the entire team in a supportive environment where all suggestions are encouraged and considered.

Requirements

  • Professional experience conducting and leading UX research and design.
  • Demonstrated ability using a breadth of techniques across the product development lifecycle, resulting in actionable insights.
  • Degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field such as Computer Science with an HCI specialty, Human Factors, Psychology, or equivalent experience.
  • Command of UI Design principles and ability to implement them into wireframes and prototypes.
  • Strong skill in generating and communicating compelling designs with cross-functional audiences.
  • Applied understanding of decision intelligence in the context of data science products, with knowledge of statistics and data visualization capabilities.
  • Ability to set challenging goals and a passion for delivering high-quality work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoyment of collaboration, learning from others, and contributing to a positive work environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced analytics and big data in a healthcare context.
  • Familiarity with clinical research processes and methodologies.
