About the position

As a UX Researcher III on the AR team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing user experience through comprehensive research and analysis. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a library of external devices used for demonstrations, ensuring that all devices are set up correctly, troubleshot as needed, and inventoried efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach, as you will be working closely with various AR devices and must possess a solid understanding of their technical specifications. Strong project management skills are essential, as you will need to stay organized and effectively liaise with different teams and researchers to facilitate demos and the use of these devices. In addition to managing the device library, you will have the opportunity to work independently on identifying research opportunities. This includes carrying out qualitative and quantitative research, leading studies throughout all phases of the product development cycle, and contributing to product strategy and execution. Your insights will be crucial in informing our understanding of the market and shaping the go-to-market plan for our products. This position offers a unique chance to blend technical knowledge with user-centered research, making a significant impact on the development of AR technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and be responsible for a library of external devices including set-up, troubleshooting, inventory, and building spec sheets
  • Collaboratively and independently develop and execute research roadmaps (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Lead research studies throughout all the phases of the product development cycle
  • Contribute to product strategy, execution, and go-to-market plan

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a human behavior-related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
  • Tech savviness and ability to work hands-on with troubleshooting devices
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Experience with data and utilizing numbers to define and support hypotheses
  • Experience with storytelling to get traction with various audiences
  • Experience with autonomy and decision-making to balance demands
