About the position

The UX Researcher IV position at Insight Global involves partnering with a dedicated team to conduct essential research that informs the development of innovative hardware and virtual/mixed reality products. The role emphasizes the importance of research in identifying user needs, shaping product ideas, and preparing products for market launch. The researcher will engage in various qualitative and quantitative research methods to track product performance and guide future developments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research using a variety of qualitative and some quantitative methods, including remote and in-home interviews, diary studies, in-lab studies, and ethnographic observation.
  • Work closely with partners across different departments to ensure a clear understanding of user problems.
  • Effectively communicate and present research findings to diverse audiences, including product teams and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with researchers, designers, PMs, and engineers to define and deliver meaningful products.
  • Develop and execute research roadmaps both collaboratively and independently.
  • Lead various research studies throughout all phases of the product development cycle.
  • Contribute to product strategy, execution, and go-to-market plans.
  • Manage research vendors to augment the work of the research team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in hardware UX research and/or virtual/mixed reality products.
  • Experience with data analysis to support hypotheses.
  • Strong storytelling skills to engage various audiences.
  • 3-5+ years of qualitative interview experience.
  • 1-2+ years of quantitative survey design and analysis experience.
