About the position

As a Voice of the Customer (VOC) Data Analyst for Digital Product Design at Ford, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our products by harnessing data-driven insights. This position involves collaborating closely with product design, engineering, and product teams to uncover valuable customer insights, identify trends, and drive software design decisions. You will help build a quality insights practice from the ground up for the digital product design team.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and explore relevant data sources to support product design initiatives.
  • Manage data pipelines for collecting and storing customer data from both internal and external sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements to support business goals.
  • Analyze user sentiment, behavior, usage patterns, and product performance metrics.
  • Synthesize internal and syndicated data, trends, and market insights to identify actionable improvement opportunities.
  • Support internal survey program design, planning, and execution, including supplier management of sampling, fielding, data capture, and reporting.
  • Create CX metrics and compelling reports and dashboards to communicate customer experience findings to stakeholders.
  • Present data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with CX and UX researchers to integrate qualitative insights with quantitative data.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and security in compliance with industry best practices and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. business analytics, data science, research, statistics, management information systems, economics, psychology, or related area)
  • Proven experience (3-5 years minimum) as a data or consumer research analyst, with a focus on user experience analysis
  • Demonstrable experience with data extraction, manipulation, transformation, cleaning, validation, and other 'wrangling' to prepare datasets for analysis
  • Adept at statistical analysis, problem definition, and hypothesis testing
  • Working knowledge of market research methods and principles, such as sampling, questionnaire design, analysis, and storytelling
  • Proficiency in survey development and fielding tools such as Qualtrics, UserZoom, UserTesting, etc.
