About the position

The UX Researcher role at Aquent is a temporary position focused on conducting user research to enhance digital experiences across various platforms. This remote position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and user needs, ultimately informing product development and optimization. The researcher will leverage their expertise in user research methods and Design Thinking to deliver actionable insights that drive design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and conducts user research activities, translating findings into actionable customer insights.
  • Contributes to the product development process, including discovery, identifying customer needs, ideation, testing, and gathering customer feedback.
  • Plans and facilitates design thinking workshops and activities, including problem statement creation and journey-mapping.
  • Leads objective setting discussions and creates clear research roadmaps for software product development teams.
  • Recommends appropriate research methods for hypotheses or business problems to deliver relevant learnings.
  • Contributes to expert reviews and heuristic evaluations to improve usability and accessibility.
  • Communicates clear, concise, and objective research findings focusing on actionable insights.
  • Works collaboratively, seeking and integrating feedback to improve research expertise.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related UX Research experience (3+ years with a Master's Degree).
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, or a related field.
  • Expertise in qualitative research methods, including usability studies and customer research interviews.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research tools, such as Qualtrics and UserZoom.
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present to cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
