About the position

As a UX Strategy Researcher and Designer at Deloitte, you will be at the forefront of innovative technology solutions, focusing on enhancing the user experience for government and public service clients. This role requires a creative thinker who is passionate about customer strategy, digital design, marketing, and platform development. You will be part of Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) practice, which is dedicated to making a significant impact through fresh perspectives and innovative solutions. The GPS team comprises over 15,000 professionals who work collaboratively to help clients navigate disruption and fulfill their mission promises. In this position, you will conduct a thorough UX analysis of existing applications that support employee experiences within client organizations. Utilizing a human-centered design approach, you will engage in user research, surveys, and interviews to identify UX issues. Your findings will inform a comprehensive digital strategy aimed at improving usability, increasing productivity, and fostering greater trust among users. The goal is to create a consistent and positive user experience across various digital touchpoints, ultimately enhancing the overall employee experience. This role requires a polygraph level of security clearance and involves medium co-location, meaning that while onsite work is necessary, it is not required full-time. You will be expected to be onsite in Arlington, VA, up to 50% of the time, allowing for a blend of remote and in-person collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform UX analysis of existing applications to support employee experience.
  • Conduct user research, surveys, and interviews to identify UX issues.
  • Develop a holistic employee experience digital strategy.
  • Drive a consistent and positive user experience across digital touchpoints.
  • Improve usability and increase productivity for users of the applications.
  • Establish greater trust with audiences using the applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
  • 2+ years of design and research experience in a consulting or in-house environment, utilizing the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience with modern design tools like Sketch, Axure, Principle, Framer, and InVision.
  • Experience conducting User Interviews, User Surveys, and Journey Mapping.
  • Experience performing User Research (Quantitative/Qualitative) and Usability Testing.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required for this role.
  • Ability to be on site up to 50% of the time in Arlington, VA.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience producing and/or overseeing the production of Figma prototypes.
  • Experience implementing Low Fidelity Concepts.
  • Experience with Heuristic Evaluation as a usability inspection method.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your experience, storytelling, and design presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to drive the design direction in terms of user interaction and design patterns.
  • Prior experience in reviewing existing systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations.
