About the position

The UX/UI Consultant (Salesforce Cloud) role involves collaborating with various teams to create user-centered designs for web and mobile applications. The consultant will serve as a bridge between design, product, engineering, and marketing teams, ensuring that the product vision is effectively communicated and implemented. This position requires a strong focus on accessibility and inclusivity in design, as well as mentoring new design staff and promoting best practices in interface design.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate clear and compelling ideas to key stakeholders using documentation, reviews, and presentations.
  • Serve as a bridge connecting design, product, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Work closely with product owners, engineers, and user research to create a vision for the product area.
  • Oversee multiple web and mobile application features, interfaces, and experiences.
  • Create designs that adhere to and extend the existing style guide.
  • Generate detailed final design specs that inspire accurate developer builds.
  • Work with developers and quality experts to deliver a polished final product.
  • Promote and educate others on new interface guidelines and design patterns.
  • Mentor new design staff.
  • Set the vision for a product's creative identity and guide the team through its implementation.
  • Create inclusive designs for all users and advocate for accessibility.

Requirements

  • Salesforce experience cloud.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a UX designer with a strong portfolio showcasing design work for web and/or mobile applications, ideally within enterprise software or SaaS products.
  • 10+ years of experience in UX design, preferably in a lead role.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and standard processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile environment while producing great design work on tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills, with an ability to build and develop close, trusting relationships.
  • Experience using multiple approaches, including analytics and user research, to drive decisions and develop product iterations.
  • Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing software that is global in reach and designed for users of multiple languages and abilities.
  • Experience designing and thinking in design systems, not just single-purpose apps.
