The UX/UI Designer 1 role is primarily focused on collaborating with project teams to design and deliver high-quality, client-centered interfaces that are effective, consistent, and user-friendly. This position is not a hands-on design role but emphasizes heavy communication and critical thinking skills. The successful candidate will be expected to understand design principles, product requirements, and user experience (UX) needs, and will be responsible for defining actionable items and following up on them. The role involves participating in design critique sessions to propose better design alternatives and requires cross-functional collaboration with various teams, including Research and Development (R&D), Technical Project Management (TPM), Quality Assurance (QA), Sales, Marketing, and Legal departments. In this position, the designer will work closely with business analysts, project managers, and IT teams to gather and understand business requirements. They will create user interface specifications by applying client research, design standards, and industry best practices while considering strategic business objectives and user needs. The designer will also participate in design review sessions to gain consensus and approvals on designs and documentation, execute business acceptance test cases, and ensure that usability deliverables align with project timelines, budgets, and technical constraints. Additionally, the UX/UI Designer will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of usability methodologies, documentation, workflows, and design standards. They will act as an advocate for user experience principles and demonstrate a proven understanding of user-centered design techniques. The role requires gathering and translating requirements from various stakeholders, applying usability testing techniques, and maintaining knowledge of web client technologies such as browsers, HTML, and CSS. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as the designer will articulate ideas effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
