About the position

As a UX/UI Designer at Insight Global, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between user needs and business objectives. You will work closely with business analysts, project managers, and IT teams to gather and understand business requirements, ensuring that the design process aligns with strategic goals. Your primary responsibility will be to create user interface specifications that reflect client research, adhere to design standards, and incorporate industry best practices. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to advocate for the user experience throughout the project lifecycle. In this position, you will participate in design review sessions with project teams, facilitating discussions to achieve consensus and obtain approvals on designs and documentation. You will also execute business acceptance test cases and conduct testing to ensure that usability deliverables meet project timelines, budgets, and technical constraints. Your contributions will extend to the development and continuous improvement of usability methodologies, documentation, workflows, and design standards, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience. Responsibilities

• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and IT teams to gather and understand business requirements.
• Create user interface specifications based on client research, design standards, and industry best practices.
• Participate in design review sessions to achieve consensus and obtain approvals on designs and documentation.
• Execute business acceptance test cases and conduct testing to ensure usability deliverables meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure usability deliverables align with project timelines, budgets, and technical constraints.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of usability methodologies, documentation, workflows, and design standards.
• Act as a user experience advocate, promoting principles of user-centered design.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in UX/UI Design, including work with wireframes, prototypes, and click prototypes (high, low, mid fidelity).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to ask project-related questions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Figma for UI design applications.
• Knowledge of Equipment Management is a significant plus.
• Experience designing applications for asset management, including monitoring machines, equipment, and planned maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS to facilitate discussions with engineers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in various design projects, demonstrating the ability to know when to take initiative and when to step back.
• Familiarity with non-ecommerce backgrounds in design.
