About the position

Our client is seeking a full-time contract UX/UI Designer to join the Marketing Web team. The role involves evolving the visual system and extending the brand's design vision across multiple channels, including presentations and event design for a B2B customer base. The designer will collaborate with marketing and sales stakeholders to simplify complex ideas into coherent visuals, making a significant impact on the business.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the creation of intuitive, seamless user experiences across digital platforms.
  • Conduct user research, review personas with product managers, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
  • Work closely with engineering and product marketing to align design strategies with business objectives and technical constraints.
  • Develop and validate design concepts through sketches, wireframes, visual comps, and prototypes.
  • Handle simultaneous complex projects while maintaining high quality design standards.
  • Distill complex design and interaction concepts, present, and debate them with designers, engineers, and leadership.
  • Deliver high-quality design solutions under tight deadlines and with input from many cross-functional stakeholders and user feedback.
  • Own documentation detailing interactions and design specifications for implementation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of UX/UI design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • 3-6 years of related work experience in UX design roles, ideally a mix of startup and larger company environments.
  • At least 2 years of experience working on consumer ecommerce/marketing products.
  • Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles and a strategic vision for crafting innovative design solutions.
  • Proven experience in UX design and prototyping with Figma, including usability testing.
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Animation experience in Aftereffects is a plus.
  • Attention to new and macro-trends in graphic design for inspiration.
  • Understanding of usability principles and design thinking processes.
