About the position

The User Experience Designer at Gordon Food Service is responsible for creating user-friendly interface designs and interactions that enhance customer satisfaction. This role involves collaboration with IT teams, product owners, and customers to deliver exceptional digital experiences. The designer will conduct various design activities including wireframing, prototyping, and user research to ensure a consistent and engaging user experience across all digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design optimal user interactions for new and existing products and services, websites, and marketing assets.
• Create and deliver wireframes, interaction outlines, mockups/storyboards, and interactive prototypes to communicate the experience design to stakeholders.
• Deliver mockups, assets, and customer validation to IT for implementation.
• Lead discovery sessions to define user goals and assist product owners in creating user cases and stories.
• Assess existing products and services to identify opportunities for improved experience design.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience designing for different devices.
• Proven capability to perform essential functions of the job through a combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
• Experience working with Developers and Product Owners to collaborate and iterate.
• Expertise in developing information architecture, interaction models, customer flows, schematics, and visual design for products and services.
• Ability to rapidly prototype work.
• Excellent collaboration skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and organize functionalities clearly.
