About the position

Join our client's design team as a UI/UX Designer, where you'll be instrumental in transforming high-level design concepts into precise development blueprints. In this role, you will utilize established design systems and UI patterns to craft interfaces that are consistent, user-friendly, and adhere to the highest standards of usability and accessibility. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to bring digital products to life, ensuring that all design initiatives align with industry best practices for usability, accessibility, and responsive design. Your work will involve engaging closely with developers to ensure that designs are implemented to specification, and actively participating in design critiques, offering and receiving feedback constructively. Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies will be essential to refine your design methodologies and enhance the overall user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in tandem with senior designers and cross-functional teams to grasp the nuances of feature requirements and ensure timely delivery.
  • Convert overarching design ideas into comprehensive development guidelines, complete with documentation and considerations for various states.
  • Employ design systems and UI patterns meticulously to develop designs that are both uniform and adaptable.
  • Guarantee that all design initiatives are in line with industry best practices for usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Engage closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented to specification.
  • Actively participate in design critiques, offering and receiving feedback constructively.
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to refine design methodologies.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Design Systems.
  • Expertise in Figma with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledgeable in accessibility standards, specifically JAWS.
  • Skilled in managing layers, assets, and UI patterns.
  • Extensive experience with Material Design.
  • Proven track record of translating design concepts into developer-ready layouts.
  • Competent in designing for both web and native applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • A strong grasp of User Interface design principles.
  • Prior experience in B2B environments is advantageous.
