About the position

The UX/UI Developer Intern position at Oracle is an 8-month on-site internship designed for current students pursuing a degree in a full-time program. The role involves working within the Corporate Architecture organization, which focuses on developing core technologies for the Oracle Cloud. Interns will engage in creating and modifying prototypes, developing user-friendly web interfaces, and collaborating with various teams to enhance enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and modify prototypes to support evolving projects.
• Develop rich, easy-to-use web-based interfaces for console designs.
• Apply software design and usability processes to investigate technical problems and improve enterprise applications.
• Drive the lifecycle of UI features from ideation through wireframing and prototyping.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineering teams to implement UI features and iterate through requirements rapidly.
• Assist in developing design concepts and provide input on user design considerations.
• Produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for products in development.
• Partner closely with fellow designers to innovate and design new user experiences.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a full-time degree program (BS/MS/PhD) after completion of the internship.
• Familiarity with web-based interface design and usability processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and IoT.
• Knowledge of design tools and software for prototyping and wireframing.
