About the position

The UX/UI Developer 2 position at BC Forward Technologies is a contract role based in Redmond, WA, focused on creating high-quality visual content for in-game applications. The role requires a blend of technical and creative skills, particularly in photography and graphic design, to enhance the visual brand identity of the projects. The position is 100% onsite and aims to deliver compelling compositions while managing tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and capture high-quality in-game images using proprietary tools.
• Create compelling compositions that support and drive the visual brand identity.
• Balance quality with efficiency while managing timely deliveries in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to take direction and incorporate feedback.

Requirements

• Real-world live event, studio or similar photography experience.
• Understanding of composition, photo editing, and lighting.
• Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop).
• Cultivated aesthetic sense and keen eye for detail.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new/proprietary software.

Nice-to-haves

• In-Game and Real-world experience in car photography and motorsport events.
• Creative and technical skills as a 2D generalist, capable of working in strict art direction guidelines.
• Post-production & motion graphics skills including color grading, typography, transitions, rotoscoping, and compositing.
• Experience with Unreal, Unity, or other game engines.
• Familiarity with development kits and troubleshooting.
• Experience with conventional cameras (DSLR, Mirrorless, Red, etc.).
• Automotive enthusiast with a passion for racing games.
• Understanding and knowledge of marketing trends and best practices.
