UX/UI Development Lead

About the position

Responsible for delivering complex solutions. Perform system integration support for all project work. Lead UX/UI development for GenAI and AI/ML applications in Truist. Proactively identifies opportunities for improving user workflow and end-user experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of UX/UI for GenAI applications.
• Proficient in development of Front-end applications using React, JavaScript, Angular and Node.js.
• Collaborates with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs.
• Translates complex ideas into understandable concepts and solutions that evolve and enhance the product experience.
• Understands and navigates the emerging fields of ML, AI and Generative AI to deliver high quality design solutions.
• Manages through shifting priorities to provide clear direction and input on product prioritization and support early product definition.
• Advocates for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, and user testing.
• Facilitates and participates in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs.
• Creates process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and user interface specifications.
• Delivers design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with engineering.
• Extensive experience in designing professional UI web applications using front-end technologies like HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, Angular JS, React JS and Bootstrap.
• Strong experience in design/development of web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, JMS, MVC Framework, Web Services, XML, JSON.
• Experience in REST based Microservices using Spring Boot.
• Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of SOA and/or Open API methodologies and service architectures.
• Experience using web servers, application containers, caching technologies.
• Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling).
• Environment: AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Java, SASS/LESS, AJAX, JSON, RESTful APIs, MVC, DOM, UX, Eclipse, Agile.
• Experience in RDBMS technologies: SQL, Subqueries, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions.
• Experience with build tools, such as Git, Maven, Gradle and Jenkins.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and eight to twelve years of experience as a developer or equivalent education and related training or experience.
• Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge.
• Sound understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes.
• Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices.
• Ability to lead complex projects.
• Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.
• Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing for cross channel e.g. responsive web and native mobile interfaces.
• Experience working collaboratively with AI/ML and Data Science teams.
• Experience working with multi modal Generative AI platforms.
• Demonstrate ability to work across design processes e.g. user research, user experience design, UI design and specifications.
• Solid knowledge of ML, AI and Generative AI systems and capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and Operations teams.
• Effective communication and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency with design tools (i.e., Figma) to deliver concepts and enable successful collaboration across teams.
• Familiarity with working in an established design system and agile development teams.
