About the position
The UX/UI Java/Kotlin application software engineer will take ownership of the user interface and experience of applications, focusing on designing and implementing intuitive and visually appealing interfaces. The role involves optimizing user interfaces for key modules, creating engaging data visualizations, and continuously improving the application's interface by staying updated on emerging trends and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the application's user interface and experience, designing and implementing intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
- Design and optimize user interfaces for key modules, including modem log collection, scanner data collection, and KPI visualization.
- Create clear and engaging visualizations to present complex KPIs and statistical data.
- Stay updated on emerging UI/UX trends and technologies, proactively suggesting and implementing improvements to the application's interface.
- Embrace learning new technologies and developing new features and modules as project needs evolve.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Java/Kotlin programming, with a strong focus on building user interfaces and experiences.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing user interfaces for Windows and macOS applications.
- Proven experience in Windows and macOS application development, with knowledge of platform-specific UI frameworks and design guidelines.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Verizon's design themes.
- Experience with TornadoFx and JavaFx.
- A passion for learning new technologies.
