About the position

Aten Design Group is seeking a seasoned UX/UI Designer to join their remote team. This full-time position involves collaborating with impactful cause-driven organizations to enhance their missions through technology and design. The designer will work closely with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on creating effective user experiences and supporting marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients, strategy, and architecture teams to create user-centered designs.
• Participate in client presentations, articulating and selling creative ideas based on research and design.
• Provide design support for Aten's marketing and business development efforts.
• Work closely with project management, strategy, and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Estimate time to complete tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
• Communicate design work effectively to developers and engineers.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of professional agency or freelance experience designing large, complex CMS-driven websites (Drupal, WordPress).
• Experience collaborating with a diverse and cross-functional team to see projects through to completion.
• Strong verbal and visual communication skills.
• Ability to use research to create user-centered designs.
• Experience using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with time tracking software (Harvest) and project management software (Jira, Basecamp).

• Branding & visual identity experience.
• Illustration skills.
• Skills creating icons and iconographic systems.
• Creating video-based animations.
• Understanding and experience in creating data visualizations.
• Ability to conduct quality assurance (QA) testing to ensure implementation aligns with approved design systems.
