About the position

Our client is currently seeking a UX/Visual Designer II to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This position is hybrid, allowing for a blend of remote and in-office work. The role is expected to last for a duration of 7 months. As a UX/Visual Designer II, you will be responsible for driving product design for multiple Ads projects. You will own project areas end-to-end and collaborate with other designers and stakeholders to establish effective design solutions. Your work will involve creating various design deliverables, including storyboards, user flows, wireframes, mocks, prototypes, and specifications. In this role, you will communicate your designs to both internal and external teams through compelling storytelling. It is essential to clearly rationalize and justify your design work while advocating for user experience (UX). You will need to collaborate effectively within a team and be open to exploring all design options. Working closely with user researchers will be crucial to establish research direction and to inform your designs from the users' perspective. Additionally, you will collaborate with UX, Engineering, Product Management, and leadership throughout all stages of the product cycle, from inception to delivery. Understanding business goals and gaining insights into competitors, opportunities, and challenges will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, Computer Science, or a related field (in lieu of degree, relevant work experience required).
  • Design portfolio includes examples of creating successful experiences for mobile, tablet, TV, and/or desktop.
  • Strong core interaction design skills and knowledge of user-centered design methodologies.
  • Good understanding of usability.
  • Adept at Figma.
  • Design portfolio showing fluency with visual and interaction design tools and ability to work within a highly technical environment.
  • Good understanding of technical requirements and limitations.
