About the position

The UX Writer/Content Designer role focuses on creating a unified voice for the Android ecosystem through user-centric writing. This position involves delivering high-quality user-facing language, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging UX research insights to enhance product narratives and content strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality user-facing language for end-to-end experiences, incorporating principles on content design, voice, tone, and UX.
• Leverage content patterns and frameworks to help solve user pain points, identifying and creating new solutions when patterns don't exist.
• Partner closely with UX research, leveraging insights to help translate complex concepts and terminology into plain language.
• Cultivate partnerships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including those in design, research, product marketing, legal, marketing, and engineering.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in writing, editorial, marketing, UX writing, or related fields, as well as leading content strategy projects.
• Experience with UX-focused product writing and shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with partners in UX, engineering, and product management teams.
• Portfolio highlighting UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines.
• Familiarity with Figma to help contribute to wireframes, mocks, prototypes, user flows that span across multiple surfaces and devices, web, and apps.

• Experience with Figma for wireframes and prototypes.
