As a Lead Content Designer, you will be responsible for the creation, development, and execution of content across digital platforms at Wells Fargo. You are a gifted writer and a thoughtful strategist, able to take complex concepts and distill them into relatable and empowering digital experiences. Your role will involve delivering high-quality and compelling content that aligns with the company's brand and messaging as we continue to build the best digital experience delivering customer joy in the financial space. This position demands a high level of creativity, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive the development of innovative and engaging content. In this role, you will lead complex initiatives for internet and application content design, identify modeling and all risk management including compliance with all federal and state laws for accessibility for all users, and review and analyze complex business and operational objectives that require in-depth evaluation. You will complete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance, and business process expectations, making decisions in complex situations that require a strong understanding of Content Design policies and procedures. Collaboration with peers, colleagues, and managers will be essential to resolve issues and achieve goals, and you will also serve as a mentor to others in the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex initiatives for internet and application content design.
  • Identify modeling and all risk management including compliance with all federal and state laws for accessibility for all users.
  • Review and analyze complex business and operational objectives that require in-depth evaluation.
  • Complete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance, and business process expectations.
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring strong understanding of Content Design policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.
  • Write compelling copy for a complicated and highly personal space.
  • Leverage research data to build solutions that balance the needs of our users with our business goals.
  • Deliver exceptional presentations, selling ideas, creating coalition, and building support.
  • Act as an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style.
  • Offer content design perspective throughout the product development process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Graphic or Website Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading the creation of best-in-class digital customer experiences for mobile app and website.
  • Proven ability to apply a deep understanding of content design principles to develop and execute strategies that solve complex user and business challenges.
  • Experience crafting holistic flows and end-to-end experiences grounded in principles of user-centered design.
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives for internet and application content design.
  • Experience crafting content that makes risk, compliance, and regulatory communications accessible and clear to customers.
