About the position

The Vacation Sales Coordinator position at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) is an in-person role located in New York City, designed to enhance the vacation experiences of our Owners and guests. This position is pivotal in providing memorable moments through engaging interactions and exceptional customer service. As a Coordinator Marketing Linkage, you will be responsible for scheduling sales presentations, managing customer expectations, and ensuring that all guests attending these presentations meet eligibility requirements. Your role will involve using persuasive techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty to Marriott. A typical day in this role includes welcoming and greeting guests, anticipating their needs, and providing elevated customer service at desk locations. You will interact with hotel guests professionally and promptly, contributing to team goals and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety procedures. Responsibilities

  • Engaging with hotel guests at desk locations and providing elevated customer service.
  • Scheduling sales presentations and managing customer expectations.
  • Providing the highest level of service to exceed budgeted sales presentations and volume production goals.
  • Ensuring that all guests who attend a sales presentation meet eligibility requirements and are open to learning more about Marriott Vacation Club products and services.
  • Using persuasive techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.
  • Welcoming and greeting guests; anticipating and addressing their needs.
  • Interacting with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
  • Contributing to team goals.
  • Following company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have worked in the timeshare industry for at least one year.
  • Sales or customer service experience is required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Concierge and/or sales experience preferred.
  • Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Physical ability to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
