About the position

The Nurse Practitioner Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Program Manager at HonorHealth is responsible for overseeing the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) practice model within the cardiovascular service line. This role involves collaboration with various healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care, program development, and adherence to clinical standards. The APCPM will manage both direct patient care and the supervision of APPs, focusing on evidence-based practices and programmatic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) practice model in specialty clinics and clinical pathways.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care management.
  • Develop and execute clinical and programmatic goals aligned with cardiovascular service line objectives.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership for cardiovascular specialty services.
  • Manage staffing needs, recruitment, onboarding, and retention of APPs.
  • Conduct evaluations, education, and training for clinical support staff.
  • Participate in marketing and program growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty.
  • Strong clinical leadership skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices and research in cardiology.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and administrative leaders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in program development and management in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with advanced heart failure and cardiac surgery practices.
