About the position

The Telemetry Nurse position involves monitoring patients' vital signs using electrocardiograms and other life-sign measuring devices. This role primarily focuses on providing care to patients with various acute diagnoses, including gastrointestinal diseases, heart failure, and diabetes, typically within hospital or clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs using electrocardiograms and other devices.
• Provide care to patients with gastrointestinal diseases, heart failure, diabetes, and other acute diagnoses.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Document patient information and vital signs accurately in medical records.
• Respond to changes in patient conditions and communicate effectively with medical staff.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
• Experience in telemetry or critical care nursing preferred.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patients.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
