About the position

The Valuations Associate role involves supporting the preparation and analysis of quarterly valuations for a private equity firm specializing in middle-market investments. The position requires strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of financial concepts, particularly in relation to portfolio company monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of quarterly valuations for the direct investment teams
• Assist with updating portfolio company valuations
• Prepare quarterly valuation reports for the valuation committee, including comparisons of key valuation metrics to prior quarter valuations
• Maintain a schedule of key portfolio company metrics
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual letters

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, financial modeling, and Level 3 valuations
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
