The Van Driver position at Abraxas Academy involves the transportation of adolescent clients or their families to and from the program. Responsibilities
- Transport Bureau of Prison (BOP) adolescent clients or their families to and from the program.
- Provide direct supervision and serve as a role model to clients during transportation.
- Observe client behavior and intervene appropriately as per policy and treatment plans.
- Operate company vehicles in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance and cleanliness checks before use.
- Provide emergency medical treatment, such as first aid, if necessary during transport.
- Document trips and significant incidents in the vehicle log.
- Communicate significant client incidents to supervisors immediately.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- No DWI/DUI offenses.
- Ability to pass physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
- Must pass a criminal background check investigation.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
