Van Route Driver (Seattle) - Full time $25/hour

About the position

The Van Route Driver position at Ridwell involves driving a company-owned van to collect recyclable and reusable items from customers' doorsteps. This role is essential in supporting the company's mission to empower communities to waste less and promote sustainability. Responsibilities

• Arrive on time to each stop on your route
• Follow instructions on the Ridwell fleet app for pickups
• Communicate any discrepancies on pickups with driver support
• Manage time effectively and communicate delays
• Complete additional stops if requested by management
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
• Load and unload items into and out of the van
• Use text message and email for communication with support and management
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must be able to read and follow written or oral instructions in English
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must own and be able to use a smartphone and Google or Apple Maps
• Ability to be on your feet or on a van route all day
• Effective digital communication skills via text and email
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Must complete a background and motor vehicle history check
• At least 21 years old with a valid Washington driver's license
• 3+ years of driving experience
• Availability for Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts
• Previous route driving experience preferred
