About the position

The Associate Creative Director at Vans Americas is responsible for overseeing multiple projects and teams, developing design direction, ensuring effective communication, making stylistic decisions, and providing feedback throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves collaboration with the creative director on marketing, artistic direction, and concept development, while also mentoring creative staff and staying current on industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple categories and develop ongoing, multi-season campaigns informed by consumer and market insights.
• Work with the Integrated team to develop creative concepts and executions for multiple channels and consumer touchpoints, including digital, retail, and events.
• Oversee photo and video shoots, including preparation, styling, editing, and graphic development of campaign creative.
• Support the presentation of campaign concepts and execution, driving stakeholder alignment.
• Mentor and guide creative staff to ensure work is on brand and creatively progressive.
• Remain current on industry trends, technology, and best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of design experience in an agency setting or design department.
• 3-4 years of supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with product photography and art direction.
• Deep knowledge of graphic design, typography, and current design trends.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage and direct a diverse team of creatives.
• Strong people leadership skills and collaborative mindset.
