About the position

The Vantive Technical Accounting Manager position is a pivotal role within the newly formed Vantive company, which is emerging from Baxter's Kidney Care segment. This position will interface with a diverse range of Finance and non-Finance personnel globally, providing high visibility access to senior leadership within Vantive's global Finance organization. The role is integral to the Vantive Controllership function and will be at the forefront of strategic initiatives and events, particularly as the company transitions into a standalone entity focused on revolutionizing kidney care and other vital organ support. In this role, you will participate in the review of accounting considerations associated with significant agreements, such as the proposed sale of the Renal Care and Acute Therapies product categories. You will be expected to exhibit a strong knowledge of GAAP, researching accounting guidance for complex transactions and providing well-documented accounting conclusions. This includes involvement in business development activities such as business combinations, divestitures, joint ventures, and investments. You will also monitor GAAP developments and lead the implementation of new accounting and disclosure standards, ensuring that Vantive remains compliant with all relevant regulations. Your responsibilities will extend to preparing technical accounting memos for applicable accounting matters, managing the quarterly impairment process for assets, and assisting in the development and maintenance of a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. As a key contact for global accounting teams, you will provide guidance on the interpretation of accounting policies and deliver training on complex transactions.
