About the position

Digital Dog Direct is seeking a Variable Data Programmer to join their team in Ewing, NJ. This full-time role involves preparing, reviewing, and generating digitally printed materials for customer print and mail orders. Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and generate digitally printed materials for customer print & mail orders.
• Optimize customer data files for error-free variable printing.
• Troubleshoot files to alleviate production issues.
• Repair files as needed, including correcting color and handling impositions.
• Read and interpret job tickets, seeking clarification when necessary.
• Produce print-ready data for digital printing and mail processing departments.
• Program and prepare jobs for printing using Print Shop Mail, Adobe, and other software applications.
• Adhere to quality control guidelines while performing all duties.

Requirements

• 3 years of relevant industry experience in print & mail.
• Proficient in preflight and analyzing client files, identifying problems and correcting them prior to printing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Strong PC/MAC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with variable digital print and variable data page composition.
• Understanding of USPS regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Printshop Mail & BCC software.
• Knowledge of database applications (dbase or similar).
• Program & Scripting experience.
